Premium quality Madeira Wine

Challenge

Create a premium quality Madeira Wine brand, as part of a Madeira Wine qualification and internalization strategy, with special focus on the US market.

Idea

Bearing in mind that it was with Madeira Wine that theFounding Fatherstoasted the independence of the USA, known the quality of the wine (15 years) and understanding the permeability of the American people to visual codes that appeal to the patriotic feeling and pride, more than an idea was designed, an ideal scenario: that this was the chosen wine, appreciated and drunk by Americans, every year, on the 4th of July, the day of the celebration of independence.

Result

The 4th of July wine was presented on the “Open House” day, on May 13, 2018, at the Portuguese Embassy in Washington. It thus managed to ensure its entry onto the American stage as a solemn wine, destined to celebrate America, the Constitution, the History and the Independence of that country and, due to its great quality, destined to be a perfect wine to be offered by the Government, Embassies and US Consulates and considered a very prestigious institutional gift.
