AFFIDEA
Intervention in spaces
Challenge
Affidea, growing through acquisitions of other brands and expansion of spaces to integrate more services, needed an intervention capable of maintaining visual consistency regardless of the various contexts. The challenge was to affirm its identity, highlighting accessibility, the availability and/or reinforcement of services in new locations (such as Évora), reinforcing its offer of diagnostic imaging tests and specialized outpatient services.
Idea
The work consisted of creating a uniform identity, but one that could be adapted to each specific context and reality. From the shop window to the interior, the idea was to adopt a strong visual language consistent with the Affidea brand. In cases such as Alentejo, where the identity of Clínica do Coração was respected, we integrated the characteristic diagonal elements of the Affidea brand, thus maintaining the integrity and heritage of the two brands. We also created visibility, proximity and distance materials, ensuring clear and direct communication of the services. This approach reinforced the visual impact of the brand and defined a clear, positive and open communication style, predisposing Affidea to good reception in each location. In the interventions inside the spaces, a graphic line was defined which could also be adapted to different types and sizes and, in some cases, such as Cascais, idiosyncratic elements were included, such as the lighthouse, thus reinforcing the clinic's emotional closeness to the locations.
The Result
The strategy resulted in a consistent brand image in the face of diverse scenarios such as expansion, growth through acquisition or redevelopment of spaces. This consistency has led to a notable increase in the number of users, demonstrating the effectiveness of the visual identity combined with the quality of the services provided in attracting and retaining customers. In Portugal, the Affidea Group employs 1,600 people and, by 2024, will have 25 clinics, three clinical analysis laboratories and more than 400 collection points.
