OCEANÁRIO DE LISBOA: THINKING A MORE SUSTAINABLE SHOP

Marine camouflage inspires renovation


From the challenge of presenting a proposal to transform the Store at the Oceanário de Lisboa into something more in tune with its mission, reason to be and sustainable practices, GMA developed a concept based on the greatest asset it discovered in the marine world: camouflage. 


After guided tours, research and study, the idea was presented: a store that continued the magical experience of visiting the Oceanário de Lisboa, entering the underwater world after observing it from outside during the visit.


Within the presentation, the team proposed: the concept of in-store navigation, the decoration, the types of products that would be available, environments for reading and sharing knowledge, well integrated commerce and restaurant spaces– where nothing was obvious and everything had to be discovered through paying attention to the details and respecting the Ocean:
